Hard Rock’s Hollywood Casino Resort Seeks Staff for $1.5 Billion Expansion

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is looking to fill 600 job positions as it is entering the final stages of a massive $1.5 billion expansion project that, among other things, includes the world’s first guitar-shaped hotel.

Hard Rock International, parent company of the South Florida-based property, has announced that the hotel and casino resort will host a three-day job fair from July 7-9. This will be the second event of this kind to take place at the property in as many months. A job fair that took place last month attracted 2,500 job applicants and saw more than 500 positions being filled.

Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood is now seeking staff for banquets and beverage, front office, housekeeping, culinary, public space, pool operations, stewarding, and security, among others. The property hopes to fill more than 600 positions at its upcoming job fair.

Interested candidates should submit their applications before the event. Check-in for the event will be from noon local time to 3pm on Sunday, July 7, 4 pm to 6 pm on Monday, July 8, and 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, July 9 at the Hard Rock Event Center, which is located in the northwest corner of the resort. Applicants will be invited to take part in the on-the-spot interviews and receive job offers immediately.

If everything goes according to plan and Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood manages to hire 600 people at the upcoming fair, this will bring the property’s new workforce to 1,200 people employed full time or part time.

World’s First Guitar-Shaped Hotel

The Hollywood hotel and casino resort is currently undergoing a $1.5 billion expansion that will see the addition of more gaming and entertainment options as well as of a new guitar-shaped hotel – the cornerstone of the major development project.

Commenting on what has been marketed as the world’s first guitar-shaped hotel tower, Hard Rock International CEO Jim Allen has said that the facility will attract casino players and other groups of visitors from throughout the country and around the world and will “put South Florida on the map as a world-class gaming destination.”

Aside from the 450-foot tall, glass-clad hotel, the Hollywood property’s expansion also includes expanding its gaming space, new dining facilities, and additional entertainment options. Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood is set to debut the new additions to its offering on October 24.

The $1.5 billion expansion at the Hollywood resort is part of a larger $2.2 billion investment Hard Rock has allotted for its flagship Hollywood and Tampa properties.

The Tampa complex is undergoing a $700 million expansion that includes a 14-story, 562-room hotel, additional gaming space, a new pool deck, and an events center, among other facilities. The property already features Florida’s largest casino floor, but after the expansion, it will have a total of 245,000 square feet of gaming space.

The addition of 1,000 new slot machines and 41 new table games will bring the total gaming positions in the casino to 5,000 slot machines, 179 table games, and a 46-table poker room that will host some major poker tournaments taking place on Florida soil. Hard Rock will open its Tampa expansion on October 3.
